We have received reports regarding difficulties connecting the TITAN machine to local WiFi networks. Our technical team has investigated the root cause to help you ensure a seamless setup.
The current WiFi module inside the TITAN machine is designed to support WiFi 4 protocols, which operate exclusively on the 2.4GHz wireless band.
Many newer commercial and residential routers are configured to use 5GHz-only bands or have aggressive band-steering configurations that may prevent the TITAN machine from successfully establishing a connection.
If you are experiencing connectivity issues, please verify your local network settings:
Enable a 2.4GHz Band: Ensure your router broadcast has a dedicated 2.4GHz network enabled (dual-band routers with separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz work best).
Connect to the 2.4GHz SSID: When provisioning or connecting the TITAN machine, make sure it is pointed specifically to the 2.4GHz network.
⚠️ Note: The TITAN machine will not be able to detect or connect to a network that is strictly configured to 5GHz.
We understand that 5GHz compatibility is vital for modern network infrastructures. Our R&D team is actively working on a hardware update. Future production models of the TITAN machine will feature an upgraded WiFi board that natively supports WiFi 5 / WiFi 6 and the 5GHz band.
Because this requires a physical hardware revision, development and rollout will take some time. We will provide updates regarding availability as soon as they are finalized.
